Well this past Saturday was Hayleigh's 1st birthday party!! It of course was mommy's birthday too but it was all about our baby that day!! She enjoyed her mommy's cupcakes A LOT. She just about dove out of her high chair to get to them. Once they were in her position she went to town. I took them out of the dish I had them in and she was able to get at them much better and smash them in her face more too. It was very cute and quiet funny to watch her. 
This duck sings If Your Happy and You Know it.... and dances at the same time. Hayleigh loved it. Once we got it home though she wasn't quiet sure of the duck. Her great aunt and great grandma got it for her. This was among many spring/summer clothes that are colorfully filling her closet. She receive some money, a water table, sandbox, and a couple of baby dolls and toys. We had a great turn out!!!

She wasn't quite sure why all her favorite people were in one spot at the same time. 
I went ahead and made a few dozen cupcakes and made them into my own design instead of spending money on a big old cake. I though I did a pretty good job. Everyone seemed to love them. The frosting was make with Kool-aid instead of food coloring so it added a sweet little twist.
As I have said many times before here on this old blog of mine or on facebook, where has time gone. It seriously doesn't seem like its been a year. We couldn't imagine our lives without her of course and don't remember what our lives were like before her. I don't remember when I was able to take a shower that last longer then 2 minutes, or that getting boogers wiped all over me was so disgusting, or a time I didn't stick out my hand to catch spit-up or puke, etc.... Thank you to everyone who had a hand or say in Hayleigh's first year, IT WAS A GREAT ONE!!!

Yay! Hayleigh is one! She is so stinkin' cute.. and I think she looks exactly like you :) What a big girl she is!!
